We are happy to present this package and offer it to anyone who wants to visit our Garden State! Keep in mind that we can easily adjust activities to suit your particular interests. We can include more active sports such as horseback riding and rafting, self-care activities such as reflexology and massage, or more in-depth lectures on the birds, flora and fauna of the area.

Day 2 (BLD)
This morning we will take a walking tour of Coatepec and peek inside a few of the homes to see their orchid collections and traditional décor. Lunch at El Retoño. After the siesta hour we will visit El Trianon, a working coffee plantation and museum, to learn about the whole process that goes into the delivery of your morning cup of java! A light supper will follow at Antojos.

Day 3 (BLD)
Our adventure today takes us to the quaint town of Xico and its famous waterfalls, Casada de Texolo. The area is surrounded by trailing flowers, coffee plantations, orchid gardens and dense vegetation. Lunch will be in Xico where the specialty is dark mole.
Dinner at Posada Coatepec and then the Evening is open.

Day 4 (BLD)
The gem of Jalapa is its Anthropology Museum which we will visit today. It houses a treasure trove of artifacts from three pre-Hispanic cultures of Veracruz: Huasteca, Totonac and Olmec. You will see the magnificent huge stone heads carved by the Olmecs, cremation urns in the shape of bats and monkeys, lovely Totonac murals, and whimsical ceramic toys. The museum itself is an architectural beauty.
From the museum we will head out to El Lencero, the ex-hacienda of Santa Ana, the Mexican general who was President of Mexico several times. The home is now a fine museum filled with period pieces. The grounds surrounding several lakes are carefully tended and filled with flowers and shade trees.
We will have lunch at the hacienda whose restaurant is in what was once the servants’ quarters. Dinner at El El Retoño
